From the 1903 Book ‘The Blessed Virgin in the Nineteenth Century’ by Bernard St. John          Scholar Selection

This article concentrates strictly on the supernatural appearance of Bernadette Soubirous when she saw the Blessed Virgin and spoke with Her.   It is indeed very moving.   This aspect seems to be missing in other books.

Bernadette’s mother had forbidden her to go to the Massabiele, but the longing within the girl became so intense that her mother…

An International Message of Hope from RFK Jr

The Most Revolutionary Act

By Children’s Health Defense Team

This past weekend, Children’s Health Defense’s (CHD) board chair Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. sent a message to the people around the world who realize they are watching their freedoms be taken away one after the other. Spoken in solidarity with citizens who participated in rallies in at least 15 countries to protest the global movement towards totalitarianism, Kennedy not only provided hope to freedom advocates, but also asked some critical questions relevant to the COVID crisis.

Chief among those questions is: What are the origins of COVID? This very basic question on something that has taken lives around the globe — including deaths from despair — and destroyed countless businesses is not being asked of government officials in any country on the planet. This is why Kennedy and CHD President Lyn Redwood have asked leaders in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives to launch…

Vatican Extends Plenary Indulgence for the Dead Throughout November…

Thank you, Cardinal Piacenza. The elderly and those who are sick and unable to leave the house can participate in the indulgence by praying for the souls in purgatory before an image of Jesus or Mary. Very helpful.

Catholicism Pure & Simple

VATICAN CITY — The Vatican has extended the availability of certain plenary indulgences for the souls in Purgatory, amid concerns about avoiding large gatherings of people in churches or cemeteries and including those confined to home due to the pandemic.

According to adecreeOct. 23, certain indulgenced acts, which can help to remit the temporal punishment due to sin for those who have died in a state of grace, can be obtained throughout the entire month of November 2020.

The decree was signed by Cardinal Mauro Piacenza, major penitentiary of the Apostolic Penitentiary.

In an interview with Vatican News, Cardinal Piacenza said that bishops had requested an extended timeframe for the plenary indulgence, considering the importance of the commemoration of the feasts of All Saints’ Day on Nov. 1 and All Souls’ Day on Nov.

Rome, October 21st, 2020– TheVatican Newswebsite[1]has reported the news that today at the Rome Film Festival a documentary film will be screened calledFrancescomade by director Evgeny Afineevsky.

This documentary – according to what has been reported byCatholic News Agency[2]andAmerica Magazine[3]– makes public several pronouncements of Jorge Mario Bergoglio on the topic of homosexuality. Among the various statements, these two are particularly disconcerting:

Homosexuals have a right to be a part of the family. They’re children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out, or be made miserable because of it.”

What we have to create is a civil union law. That way they are legally covered. I stood up for that.”

Sacred Heart Scapular Given to the Church at Pellevoisin, France 1876

Our Lady comes again and gives us a scapular. Her only message was that she loved to see “my livery on my children” She only asked that we wear this scapular and promises many graces. Estell saw graces pouring from her hands like rain.

France was coming to herself after the war of 1870, followed by the Commune, which was when the Monarchy was restored.  The Revolution had damped the faith, but there was a spirit of hope now. With the beheading of King Louis XVI and Queen Antoinette Marie, the kingdom … no more a kingdom … was rife with wars and discontent.  The badge of the Sacred Heart, given to Saint Marguerite Marie Alocoque, had been worn by many in the court, including the King and Queen who promoted it, although France as a nation was never consecrated to the Sacred Heart.

Now, Napoleon III, self proclaimed emperor,  was toppled, and,  Louis XVIII, the brother of the executed King who had been in exile, was crowned King.  The Monarchy would be short.

Pellevoisin, a small burgh in the department of the Indre, looks down from a gentle hill up a magnificent sweep…

Poll: Americans want Supreme Court appointment done this year

OpentheWord.org

With the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a massive controversy erupted in the US over whether President Trump should appoint her replacement now or if it should wait until after the federal election on Nov. 3, 2020, meaning it probably wouldn’t happen until 2021.

The Democrats and social activists are screaming it shouldn’t be made during an election year, while those supporting the Republicans are shouting fill the seat before the federal election.

We know what the political activists are saying, so what do the people want?

Well, according to a poll conducted by Marquette University, 67% want the appointment done before the federal election.

The Blaze explains.

1986 Manila, Philippines – Miraculous Ousting of A Dictator

haurietisaquas

“A beautiful woman dressed in immense bright light stood in front of the tanks and stopped them…..”

These events in the Philippines began in February, 1986, as the twenty year dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos came to an abrupt     end through a series of strange events.

Corazon Aquino, the widow of slain opposition leader, Ninoy Aquino had won the presidential election in a stunning landslide

President Marcos had actually called for this election as a means to put an end to the efforts by the opposition to oust him, but it backfired!  However, through illegal actions and total control of the media, Marcos, instead lied and declared himself as the winner.

The rigged election results were obvious to everyone, sending millions into the streets to protest and triggering an unexpected coup attempt by a dissatisfied faction of the military.

The saga of EDSA (Epifanio de los Santos Avenue) culminated…
