The 2024 Lexus GX Overtrail Starts At $70,600
The Lexus GX configurator is up, and pricing is officially out. The new GX offers six trim levels, starting with the Lexus GX 550 Premium, priced $65,600 MSRP including destination. All GX models come with the same drivetrain as standard: a 379-hp twin-turbo 3.4-liter V-6 mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission with four-wheel drive.
Moving up the trim ladder, Lexus simply adds a “+” to each trim level. The Premium+ runs $70,600 and brings in a higher level of standard equipment like a powered hatch, rear heated seats, and more. Most will be interested in the Overtrail and Overtrail+ models, which start at $70,600, and $78,600, respectively. These focus on the GX’s reputation for off-road prowess, adding features like Crawl Control with turn assist, 33-in all-terrain tires, and in the case of the Overtrail+ model, front massaging seats and more luxury-focused upgrades.
Speaking of, more luxury-focused trims are available in the form of the Luxury ($78,600) and range-topping Luxury+ ($82,600) trims. The latter adds niceties like a 10-way heated and ventilated power driver's seat with massaging and a semi-aniline leather-trimmed interior, while the Luxury+ trim throws in the optional Mark Levinson sound system, digital rearview mirror, and more.
It’s possible to keep the GX Overtrail under $70K, and Lexus offers a stunning array of optional off-road goodies by ARB including a portable air compressor, traction boards, and even a fridge. A hybrid GX is also on the way, though that won’t come ‘till later. The GX is set to arrive at dealers in early 2024.
