Tesla Model Y And Model 3 Gets Significant Discount In US, Canada, And Mexico
If you’re looking to get into a new Tesla, it might be time to buy.
The Tesla Model 3 and Model Y are getting some pretty hefty price cuts in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Just one catch, though – you’ve got to take delivery of the car between December 21 to December 31, 2022. Still, if you manage to do that, you can get up to $7,500 off the purchase price. With a base price of $46,990, a new Model 3 could be had for as little as $39,490 after this new discount.
Tesla has been in hot water lately, with a tumbling stock price and now-controversial leader among many issues, and has seen rumblings that demand for EVs from the brand is lower than expected. Thus, the incentives to get folks into cars, and a big one too. Tesla is supposed to re-qualify for the new $7,500 tax credit from the new Inflation Reduction Act, but it appears the brand is jumping the gun to give folks a discount outright to get them into cars before the year is out. The new rules for EV tax credits have been pushed back, now they won’t go into effect until March 2023.
There are discounts for Canada and Mexico, too though. Canadian Tesla Model 3 and Model Ys are eligible for a $5,000 CAD discount for cars delivered before the year is out. In Mexico, $74,750 MXN can be had on the Model 3 and Model Y, also delivered before the year is out.
Also, the cars get 10,000 miles, (or 10,000 kilometers in Mexico and Canada), worth of free supercharger access.
