RAM 1500 REV Reservations Close Five Days After Opening

The RAM 1500 is already sold out.

Following in the footsteps of the Ford F-150 Lightning, and Chevrolet Silverado EV, the RAM 1500 REV is already sold out. After a surprisingly short five days of open bookings, commencing with the commercial shown at the Super Bowl, reservations are now closed. That’s about five days from reservations opening on February 12, to the closing on February 16.

Stellantis is tight-lipped with the number of reservations it actually has for the truck, but reservations were only a $100 refundable fee, to be put in line for the actual waitlist. Still, that’s good news – thousands of customers were willing to reserve the EV RAM despite knowing little about the truck. RAM hasn’t released any specifications on the EV truck, at all, aside from a few exterior images, and a promise that the truck will enter production by 2024. We have no pricing, no details about power or range, and no other information, aside from the fact it will ride on Stellantis’s STLA Frame platform, and come with an optional range extender gas engine.

Perhaps, the RAM 1500 REV has attracted the FOMO (fear of missing out) crowd, those who wanted an F-150 Lighting or Silverado EV. Now, those two in-demand trucks have waiting lists with orders that won’t be fulfilled for years. A $100 refundable fee is a pretty low-stakes way to make sure you’re not left without an EV truck in the next few years.

When the RAM 1500 REV does drop in 2024, it will compete with the Chevy Silverado EV, Ford F-150 Lightning, and possibly the Rivian R1T.
