pagani to open new plant in september

Pagani will open a new manufacturing plant this year.

The company is nearly finished building the 100-unit run of the Huayra, after which production will be transferred to the new factory. The new facility will then begin building a 100-unit run of the Huayra Roadster, which is expected to be revealed at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

The new factory is located just 200 meters from the existing plant in San Cesario sul Panaro, Italy. Pagani estimates the new facility could produce up to 300 cars a year, although a cap of about 45 cars per year has been set to retain the exclusivity.

When the Huayra Roadster arrives, it is likely to use the same 6.0-liter V12 as the coupe model, though it will probably make a little more power than the coupe’s 730 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque. A render of the new roadster model can be seen above, giving us a clear idea of what the topless Huayra will look like.
