pagani huayra roadster tipped for 2017 debut

You may have heard this before ( ahem…), but the Pagani Huayra Roadster will reportedly debut next year.

After years of speculation, Pagani’s global public relations and communications chief Luca Venturi, has confirmed to CarBuzz the convertible Pagani Huayra will bow at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. And this time it might really happen, considering the news comes straight from the Italian automaker and Geneva is a show it regularly attends. Don’t expect very many surprises however when the Huayra Roadster finally debuts, considering the automotive world has been anticipating it for half-a-decade now.

It will likely be powered by the same 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine with 720 horsepower found in the coupe. The powerplant is sourced from AMG and should give the convertible a similar top speed of 231 mph. But since it won’t have a fixed roof, the Huayra Roadster will give up its fancy gullwing doors for boring, conventional ones.

Check back for more information on the Pagani Huayra Roadster if it does debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, where AutoGuide.com will be reporting live.
