Pagani Huayra Roadster Expected Within Two Years
Three years ago, AutoGuide.com envisioned a Pagani Huayra Roadster, and in two years it will finally become a reality.
According to a recent report, Pagani is working on a convertible variant for its Huayra supercar, and plans to debut it within two years. It’s a move we expected as soon as the Huayra made its original debut, and frankly, we’re surprised it has taken this long to become a reality. Nevertheless, later is better than never.

Expect the Huayra Roadster to keep the same 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 powerplant that powers the current coupe with 720 hp. Though the coupe currently has a seven-speed single-clutch sequential transmission, there’s a chance the Italian automaker will incorporate a dual-clutch gearbox to help offset the additional weight a convertible requires. It is also likely that the Huayra Roadster will follow in the footsteps of the Zonda Roadster, with a removable roof panel rather than a folding hardtop.
As for pricing, the Roadster will definitely run more than the $1.5 million asking price for the current Huayra coupe.
