Mercedes-Maybach Might Debut 20-Foot Long Coupe Concept Next Week
Mercedes-Maybach is teasing a coupe concept that might debut at 2016 Monterey Car Week.
The German automaker released the above teaser image on Instagram, simply saying “Hot & cool – almost 6 metres of ultimate luxury.” That means the concept will be almost 20 feet long and suggests Mercedes-Maybach is considering a range-topping model to take on the likes of Rolls-Royce in the ultra-luxury segment.
Don’t be surprised if the concept is inspired by the Maybach Exelero, with a long hood leading to a sweeping profile. This particular concept does appear to be sleeker than the Exelero and if it does measure almost 20 feet, it would trump even the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe that measures about 18 feet.

Currently, the Maybach nameplate is used on a long-wheelbase S-Class variant, so this coupe concept indicates Mercedes-Maybach is willing to expand the lineup with its own car. We will know more when the concept debuts next week at Pebble Beach and stay close to AutoGuide.com as we will be reporting live from all the events during the 2016 Monterey Car Week.
