Lotus has officially unveiled the extra hardcore Evora GT430 after teasing the car with a series of photos earlier this week.

Lotus says the Evora GT430 is its most powerful model ever with 430 horsepower on offer from its supercharged 3.5-liter Toyota-sourced V6 engine. Mated to the uprated engine is a six-speed manual transmission, which has been upgraded with a low-inertia, single mass flywheel.

The bump in power is all well and good, but this is Lotus, so you know some weight has been shed with this performance focused model. The Evora GT430 weighs a full 57 lbs less than the Evora Sport 410 thanks to a titanium exhaust system, carbon body panels, a lighter spring and damper assembly, lightweight rear brake discs and polycarbonate rear glass, among more.

Significant attention was also paid to the aerodynamics. Thanks to a new rear wing, carbon front splitter, wheel well louvers, rear wheel aero ducts and a prominent rear diffuser, the Evora GT30 is capable of making up to 551 lbs of downforce at 190 mph. In addition to the racing-inspired aero, a new Torsen-type limited slip differential and 10mm wider Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires also contribute to higher corner entry and exit speeds.

The track-focused theme continues inside with available Sparco carbon race seats, new carbon door sills and a lightweight carbon instrument binnacle. Black Alcantara adorns the steering wheel, dash, transmission tunnel and center console and is joined by contrasting red and white stitching. A touch-screen infotainment system with Bluetooth pairing, sat-nav and a reverse camera is also available.

Just 60 examples of the Lotus Evora GT430 will leave Lotus’ factory in Norfolk, England. Lotus says it will be available in select European markets including the UK, France, Germany and Italy and Japan as well. Prices will start at £112,500 (about $146,000 USD).
