Inifniti To Debut New Styling Direction During Pebble Beach

Infiniti is about to debut a new look.

Infiniti’s current look has been on the market for quite a while. The swoopy, slash-filled designs debuted on the current generation Inifiniti Q50 sedan, which went on sale in early 2014. Although generally stylish, it’s probably time for a new look, especially since competitors like BMW have implemented new design languages.

At this year’s Pebble Beach, Concours d’ Elegance during Monterey Car Week, Infiniti will debut a new concept – the QX Monograph Concept. We can’t see much aside from a waterfall grille and Infiniti logo, but the brand promises big things for the concept. Infiniti says the QX Monograph concept will have “ bold proportions” and preview design elements like the evolution of the current double-arched grille, and digital piano key lighting elements.

But, Inifntii’s presence at Pebble Beach goes beyond the concept’s debut. In a partnership with MotorTrend’s JAI (Japanese Automotive Invitational), Infiniti will also host other activities too, like revealing concept sketches and quarter-scale models from the company’s archives. Some of these sketches and models have never before been seen in public. And yes, Infiniti will show off some never-before-seen Skyline design references to tantalize the crowd at Pebble Beach. For example, Infiniti plans to show off a 1995 Nissan Skyline GT-R internal model, which is what Nissan used to lock in the design of the iconic R34 Skyline GT-R.

The QX Monograph concept will debut at 10 AM on August 17, at the Concours awards ramp, at The Lodge at Pebble Beach.
