Tired of electric crossover concepts yet? We hope not, because Infiniti has just rolled out another one. Introducing the Infiniti QX Inspiration concept.

The Infiniti QX Inspiration represents the automaker’s vision for a future lineup of high performance electric vehicles, it says. Styling wise, it’s exterior is “infused with Japanese DNA,” and has “a refreshed form language,” that “hints at the potency and character of the brand’s future electrified powertrains.”

While Infiniti is holding out on releasing images of the interior, the automaker says its new electric vehicle platform has enabled the QX Inspiration concept to have a “spacious, lounge-like
interior,” that will be found in all Infiniti EVs.

The QX Inspiration’s cabin also follows the traditional Japanese hospitality principle of ‘omotenashi’, which helps to create “a welcoming environment while assisting drivers and connecting occupants to the world around them.”

“QX Inspiration is the beginning of a new era for INFINITI and an illustration of where we want to
go with the brand,” said Infiniti design director Karim Habib. “New technology has given us the opportunity to evolve our design philosophy – and the new vehicle communicates the serene strength at our core.”

Infiniti is said to be working on a new dedicated EV platform that will serve in all of its future battery electric vehicles. The automaker is believed to have an entire range of EVs in the works, with this desire to have variety of EVs represented by the Q Inspiration sedan and now the QX Inspiration crossover.

Stay tuned for more information on the Infiniti QX Inspiration following its official debut at the Detroit Auto Show later this month.
