The BMW 5 Series has undergone the models' biggest change in over 50 years. The 5 Series is now available as the i5, which is completely all-electric. To start, a few models are offered, including the i5 eDrive40i and the i5 M60 xDrive.
The eDrive40 is a single motor variant and should be good for just shy of 300 miles of range on a single charge. The M60 xDrive is the performance variant, with nearly 600 hp and the capability to go from 0 to 60 mph in well under four seconds.

It's true: even the BMW 5 Series has gone electric.
