The compact Mercedes-Benz GLB offers something most of its competitors do not – a third row of seats. Obviously, the back most row is the domain of small children, but having that option is a big plus for many. Two basic versions of the GLB are available, a regular model and an AMG.
Both versions are powered by turbocharged 2.0-liter engines in this small people hauler. There’s now also an electric sibling to the GLB called the EQB.

2021 Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 Review: The Hot Hatch for Grown-Ups
Dessert is a building opportunity for kids. A small mountain of ice cream is a good start, but what it really needs is some gummy worms, a smattering of marshmallows, and at least two sauces. Maybe throw a slice of cake in there.
The 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 is that sugary amalgam in four-wheeled form, for adults. You want a family-friendly compact crossover, but you also want a larger one. A hot hatch sounds like fun, but a luxury badge on the nose matters.
The folks in Affalterbach have just the answer. They’ve given the GLB the AMG treatment, addressing all those disparate desires in one cute, squared-off package. A week with the GLB 35 showed off an irresistible blend of performance and practicality, all wrapped up in a package bursting with character.
Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 vs Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 Comparison
Why would you even consider the GLB over the GLC? For more reasons than you think.
Under normal circumstances, this comparison would make as much sense as comparing tonic soda with a beer. But add a dash of gin to the tonic and you have yourself a debate.
While the GLC is likely the go-to luxury crossover in Mercedes-Benz‘s lineup for new Merc patrons, hence its popularity, the Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 presents a potent mix of crossover utility and performance at a similar price point. Not to mention it also offers an extra row of seats; unusable by adults they may be, but they can accommodate kids just fine.
