The upcoming EX30 marks Volvo's fourth all electric vehicle and the brand's smallest. It's claimed to have the lowest overall CO2 footprint of any Volvo produced to date. More importantly though, despite being all electric, this is will be the lowest priced Volvo on sale in America. Volvo’s promising big range for a not-so-big price.

The smallest, and latest Volvo EV is finally here – The 2024 Volvo EX30. Debuting in Milan, one of the most fashionable cities in the world, the EX30 comes on the global entry-level premium EV crossover segment promising big range, and big power. Yet, the price is surprisingly not all that big.

The EX30 looks to fall in line with what we’ve come to expect from Volvo’s latest crop of EV crossovers. Like the EX90 flagship, the EX30 has clean lines, and tidy proportions, but still manages to look sophisticated and expensive despite its small physical size. The EX30 is boxy, yet somewhat rounded around the edges, with a roofline and hoodline that are a little more relaxed than the slightly larger and blockier XC40 crossover. The Volvo badge sits in the center of where the grille would normally be on an ICE car, adding to the sleek, minimalistic front fascia. In short, the EX30 is a slick-looking little crossover.

Volvo’s baby SUV is coming real soon.

I mean, we’ve already heard the name, right? But it’s official, the smallest Volvo EV crossover is coming soon, and has a name — the EX30. The littlest EV will simultaneously debut and open for bookings on June 7.

Volvo was coy about the actual appearance of the EX30, opting to show off a dimly lit teaser photo, and a cutesy video with tightly cropped vignettes. At the end of the video, a hand reaches out to seemingly pick up the EX30, lampooning the car’s small size.

Volvo previews its smallest EV for the last time.

The Volvo EX30 is due to drop on June 7, yet that hasn’t stopped the brand from sending off one more preview of the baby EV crossover. These images are the most revealing yet, and the brand has given us more about what we can expect from the forthcoming model.

The latest visual preview is three images: two of the exterior, and one of the interior console. The exterior looks to fall in line with what we’ve seen from the EX90 flagship, albeit far smaller. The pixel-like boomerang headlights make their appearance here, alongside the floor-to-ceiling style taillights, yet again, something we’ve seen on the EX90. The interior features a big tablet-style center screen that looks to control most of the vehicle’s functions.
