E.C.D Automotive Design has introduced a stunning first-generation custom Range Rover that you’ll definitely want in your garage.

The company unveiled its new ‘Project Alpha’, in Los Angeles, California, just minutes from the company’s West Coast Design Studio located on Pacific Coast Highway this week.

Available in three distinctive models, the Retro, Pursuit and Pinnacle Editions, each comes with a variety of premium exterior and interior treatments that take each of these models to even higher levels of luxury.

“The custom RRC by E.C.D. is designed to attract an entirely new group of buyers who want a vehicle that is versatile with an eye-catching, purposeful design for their daily driving needs,” states Scott Wallace, Co-Owner of E.C.D. Automotive Design. “We know that luxury buyers are among the most discerning consumers and with the new custom RRC models, we are delivering exactly what they’re after — vehicles that truly make a statement while offering an empowered driving experience.”

Using the same approach to construct the new RRC’s as they do their award-winning Defenders, the build process begins with a client selecting the body style, drivetrain, wheels, tires, accessories, and exterior and interior colors of their custom RRC while working with E.C.D.’s Lead Vehicle Designer. The E.C.D. team then takes the foundation vehicle and begins the build process by tearing it down to the bare chassis. Every project is then rebuilt, repainted, and reupholstered from the ground up at the Rover Dome, the company’s headquarters in Kissimmee, Florida.

“Our custom RRC’s are the kind of vehicle that are suited for practically anything,” comments Tom Humble, Founder & Co-Owner of E.C.D. “Our clients will take the same design journey that they would with our custom Defender models. There really is no limit to how we transform the RRC into an SUV that supersedes everything currently being built. Each will have a different look and feel, which means you’re not going to see 15 of the same vehicles lined up at your children’s school or at the valet. They’ll each be as unique as their owner and as comfortable as any new luxury automobile available today.”

Project Alpha was built to represent the custom RRC Pinnacle Edition on a ’95 long wheel base model. This particular model features an aggressive lower front fascia flanked by rectangular LED fog lights and 16-inch custom painted Range Rover wheels wrapped in Michelin Defender tires. Exterior upgrades continue with a black rooftop in full gloss black, tinted side windows and custom E.C.D. badging to complete the look.

Inside, the RRC Retro Edition features more comfortably bolstered front seats in Super Soft Cappuccino leather with complimentary Sand stitching and high-impact black piping, a classic soft dash, luxury black carpet, premium leather wrapped steering wheel and premium digital gauges.

“The new E.C.D. RRC will finally bring the vehicle into the twenty-first century, without sacrificing its classic heritage and originality,” states Elliot Humble, Co-Owner of E.C.D. Automotive Design.
