There couldn’t be a more perfect venue to debut the latest Bentley product and successor to the fabulously-regal Arnage than the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Accompanied by bagpipers, the “Grand Bentley”, now officially named the Mulsanne, drove up on to the awards show platform – a stage many Bentleys have graced before.

The folks at U.K.’s CAR magazine have managed a few spy photos of Bentley’s upcoming Arnage successor, but there’s more to the story than just that.

In December Bentley announced that after 10 years it would cease production of its Arnage, but didn’t even hint at a replacement for the ultra-luxury sedan. Now word comes that the car’s successor might be revealed as early as this August, at a typical venue – the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

I almost never use the word awesome anymore. Unfortunately, young people have ruined that word by using it so cavalierly, that it has lost all meaning. They describe everything as awesome. To them a Slurpee is awesome, or a video game is awesome, or even a song from a band that sounds like amplified noise is awesome. I, however, reserve that word for describing the sight of the Grand Canyon, or gazing up at a star-filled night sky from the high desert where there isn’t any ambient light for a hundred miles in any direction, and the stars shine so brightly that you’d think you could reach out and touch one.

German tuning house Hamann Motorsport has just released details of its new Imperator tuning package for the Bentley Continental GT and Speed models.

The rumors have already started to surface about the upcoming 2011 Bentley Continental and it appears as though the vehicle will be put on a much-needed diet.

Looking more like something that might roll out of a SoCal tuning shop like Platinum Motorsport, German tuning house Edo Competition has just released details of its version of the Bentley Continental GT Speed.

Just ahead of it’s unveiling at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show, Bentley has release full details and specifications of its most powerful production car ever, the Continental Supersports.

It’s really all just speculation at this point but there are reports the Bentley’s new supercar will make as much as 630hp and hit 62 mpg in just 4 seconds. And as ridiculous as that sounds, it might be an understatement.

We already told you about the BioFuel (or FlexFuel) model that Bentley hinted at at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. Now the British marque is calling it a supercar and says it will unveil the new vehicle at the Geneva Auto Show in March.

For starters, Bentley aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 15 percent by applying new technologies to the current vehicles as well as using new transmissions and drivelines. Also, the company plans to begin reducing the weight of its cars – an area where Bentley certainly has a lot of room to work with.

With the Continental GT Speed and Flying Spur Speed, it was only time before Bentley released a GTC Speed. And that time is now.

After 10 years Bentley has decided to cease production of the regal Arnage. Choosing to go out with a bang rather than a whimper, the British automaker will build 150 “Final Series” models that will make use of the powerful 6.75L twin-turbo V8 engine that will produce 500 hp and 738 ft-lbs of torque. This is enough, says Bentley, to move the 5,700-lb land yacht to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 179 mph.

Inside and out the Arnage Final Series will receive several unique trim options including an 1,100 watt sound system, body colored headlamp bezels, black grilles and 20-inch wheels.
