The 671-horsepower C63 S hasn’t even launched yet and there’s already a special collector edition.

Mercedes-Benz early Tuesday revealed the 2024 Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance F1 Edition. The polysyllabic performance sedan takes Affalterbach’s latest offering and peppers it with various visual upgrades to make what’s sure to be a rare car, even rarer.

First off, a refresher if you missed the C63 S E Performance debut last month: the V8 is dead, and in its place is a seriously pumped-up four-banger. Not just that either, but an AMG-designed electric motor working the rear axle too, with combined outputs of a staggering 671 horsepower and 752 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive is standard, as are things like drift mode, adaptive suspension, rear-wheel steering, and the ability to travel a handful of miles on nothing but electrons. The C63 S heralds a new era of AMG performance, then.

From there, the F1 Edition ladles on the black-and-red bits. The AMG Aerodynamic, Night, and Stealth packages are all included, with the latter two coating much of the exterior trim pieces in black chrome. The model designation and the 20-inch wheels feature outlining in bright red, which mimics the design of the current AMG F1 medical car. Every example comes in the alpine grey solid paint, with lurid sickers along the flanks to ensure onlookers know this isn’t some regular 671-horsepower four-door.

Inside, the color scheme continues, with black Nappa leather and red contrast stitching. Red seatbelts and carbon trim with red threads round out the look, along with a leather-and-microsuede steering wheel. Buyers will find a commemorative plaque inside, as well as an indoor car cover replete with F1 logo.

Mercedes hasn’t talked pricing or availability of the C63 S yet, much less this F1 Edition. It will be exceedingly rare, however: US figures were unavailable at the time of writing, while Canada will see just 36 units. Expect to pay a pretty penny for the privilege.
