Want an Air Grand Touring with the metal roof? Massage seats in a Pure? You got it.

Lucid Motors on Tuesday announced 2024 model year changes for its breakthrough Air luxury sedan. Riding off the high of the recent Gravity SUV reveal, the brand is streamlining the Air model walk while offering buyers more individual options.

First up is the Pure, which lists from $78,900 including destination in the US. (Canadian pricing for all trims was unavailable at time of writing.) Now a purely rear-drive affair, this entry-level model still produces 430 horsepower. On 19-inch alloy wheels, the Air Pure is expected to pull of 419 miles (674 kilometers) on a single charge according to the EPA. Buyers will still be able to spec upgraded driver assistance and audio systems if they so choose, in addition to 14- or 20-way power-adjustable front seats with ventilation and massage functions. Air Pure purchasers will now be able to select from multiple interior color schemes and materials as well.

One thing the Pure will no longer offer is all-wheel drive. For that, buyers will need to graduate to the Air Touring ($87,400), which still produces 620 horsepower and a dash to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.4 seconds. The EPA's revised testing procedure sees the official range dip to 411 miles (661 km) on the standard 19-inch alloys; it was 425 miles (684 km) prior to the update. The Touring gains newly standard 12-way power-adjustable front seats and leather-free upholstery.

Both the Pure and Touring now offer a Comfort and Convenience package. Common equipment between the two includes four-zone climate control, heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, soft close doors, and powered rear window sunshades. On top of that, the Touring also bundles in a power-operated frunk and heated precision wipers.

Lucid is keeping the full details of the Air Grand Touring for next year. All we know is that its horsepower remains the same (819 hp), and the previously-standard Glass Canopy roof is now optional. That might go some way to explaining what Lucid is teasing as lower starting price; the current sticker is $127,100. The range and battery capacity will also be revealed in 2024.

Lastly, the Air Sapphire continues on in its 1,234-horsepower glory. The Fathom Blue paint it debuted is now available elsewhere in the lineup.

“This transforms the flexibility and choice for our customers while highlighting Lucid’s commitment to continuous improvement of the world’s most advanced and dynamic electric vehicles,” said Lucid Motors CEO and CTO Peter Rawlinson. “By listening to owners and prospective customers, I’m delighted that we can now provide such compelling choices. For example, it’s now possible to order an Air Pure with massaging seats or even an Air Grand Touring with a metal roof.”

The 2024 Lucid Air Pure, Touring, and Sapphire are all available to order now. Expect details on the Air Grand Touring early in the new year.
