2019 Buick Envision Arrives in Spring With Updated Looks and Tech
Buick has given its compact crossover a price cut to go with its refreshed design.
Updated for 2019, the Buick Envision features a newly sculpted front and rear, signature grille, and new wheel choices. The crossover also gains a new nine-speed automatic transmission for the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which has its performance increased to 295 pound-feet of torque while horsepower remains at 252. The 35 lb-ft more torque and new transmission allows the Envision to accelerate to 60 mph from a standstill half-second quicker than the 2018 model.
An engine start/stop deactivation switch can be found on the new Envision, which is a Buick first in North America. Other changes to the model include a single rate brake booster for improved overall brake performance that requires less effort, the flexibility to switch between Adaptive Cruise Control and conventional Cruise Control, enhanced visibility on the Rear Vision Camera, improved hands-free microphone, next-generation wireless charging, lighting upgrades across all trims, an in-vehicle air ionizer, and the seat heating system now warms up more quickly.

The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine remains paired to a six-speed automatic and is unchanged. The Envision is available in front- or all-wheel drive.
Pricing starts from $32,990 including destination, which is $2,000 less than the outgoing model. With a starting price of $34,495, the Preferred trim gets a bigger price cut of $2,400 compared to the 2018 model. Three other trim levels are available on the 2019 Buick Envision: Essence ($36,795), Premium ($41,695), and Premium II ($44,595).
“The Envision brings a tremendous growth opportunity for the Buick brand,” said Sam Russell, Buick marketing director. “The new pricing strategy not only puts the Envision in the heart of the industry’s largest segment, but also better positions it in relation to Encore, our top-selling nameplate.”

No thanks. I don't want a Chinese made car. Don't care if it gets 5 stars for safety, I will still be paranoid about it trying to kill my pets for food, and for braking down faster than normal because of the short cuts done to make it.
