2025 Ram 1500 Says See Ya Later, Hemi
More tech, more (turbo) power, more Tungsten—Ram’s main rig sees big improvements for 2025.
Ram got a jump on the LA Auto Show news cycle early Tuesday by revealing the 2025 Ram 1500 pickup (and 1500 Ramcharger range-extender). The brand’s best-seller gains an expected but welcome new engine, a raft of tech and usability improvements, and a new range-topping trim.

2023 Ram 1500 Limited 4X4 Review
Pickup trucks aren’t what they used to be, and that’s a good thing.
These useful workhorses have come a long, long way in terms of driveability, civility, and comfort. There’s a reason pickups are the top selling vehicles in the United and States and Canada. For many, they are the perfect tool for family life, work, and play.
Another stand-out feature of modern full-size pickup trucks is how great they are for road trips.

Ram 1500 Big Horn Vs Laramie: Which Truck is Right for You?
The Ram 1500 is one of the best-selling vehicles in America.
With the country’s love affair for pickup trucks, this doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The Ram 1500 offers a lot of choice for those looking at a new truck. It can be configured to haul a lot of weight, float across the desert floor, or drop the kids off at school on the way to the grocery store.
2023 Ram 2500 Rebel First Drive Review
We always hear about the all-important work-life balance. Apparently, so does Ram, at least going by this 2023 Ram 2500 Rebel.
The Rebel is new for this year and—if you buy Ram’s story—is meant for the person who digs a little more off-road action with their heavy duty pickup, but not full on Power Wagon levels of it. It slots into the lower half of the lineup, but offers more towing capability than its afore-mentioned big brother, or the Ram 1500 Rebel. Oh yeah, and there’s a diesel, too.
Is this the ideal do-everything choice for heavy duty buyers? Is it an attempt to fill every conceivable niche in a truck-loving market? We spent a day in the snow a little outside of Canada’s capital to find out.
Ford F-150 vs Ram 1500 Comparison: Truck Yeah
Trucks have come a long way from hay and sheep haulers.
The modern truck is as much at home transporting cedarwood blocks on your farm as making an entrance at a dinner party. You are more likely to be greeted by wrinkled noses if you arrive in hatchback than if you arrive in your half-ton workhorse of a truck. And no two trucks embody the multitude of roles these workhorses can fit into than the F-150 and the Ram 1500.
For 2021 Ford introduced the 14th-generation F-150 with a hybrid engine that not only promises better mileage but also enhanced hauling and towing capabilities. A true multi-purpose half-ton. The Ram on the other hand goes the lux route. It adds a new Longhorn Limited 10th Anniversary trim, the one that we have here, and packs enough leather and wood to put full-size luxury SUVs to shame. It also comes with the eTorque system. The F-150 Lariat is the one you take to a construction site while the Ram is the one you want to arrive at a dinner party in. But is that strictly true?
Toyota Tundra vs Ram 1500: Which Pickup is Right for You?
There’s no shortage of choice when it comes to half-ton pickups.
Today’s shopper is wading hip-deep through options with diesel, gasoline, electric and hybrid power– and new tech, hardware and safety equipment is rapidly arriving on scene as competition fiercens and shoppers look to 4×4 vehicles to get out and explore the world around them.
Below, we’ll compare one of the market’s most proven pickups with one of its newest. It’s the new-for-2022 Toyota Tundra versus the Ram 1500, examined under our microscope to help you make a smarter purchase decision.
Ram 1500 vs Chevrolet Silverado 1500: The Battle for the Second Bestselling Truck
So you don’t want the Ford F-150, there are still two American Trucks that might strike your fancy
Chevrolet is one of the oldest names in trucks and for decades, the Silverado served as the second-bestselling truck and vehicle in the United States, trailing only the Ford F-Series. The Ram brand is technically the newest name in trucks, having come about in 2009 when the Dodge Ram lineup was transitioned to its own brand. Since then, Ram sales have grown tremendously, allowing the trucks once known as Dodges to surpass the Chevrolet Silverado for the second-place spot in North American truck sales and overall sales.
The Ford F-Series continues to lead the annual race for the bestselling truck and bestselling vehicle in the United States by a large enough margin that it really isn’t a race. The real battle in the truck segment is for second, with the Ram 1500 and the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 going head-to-head. That competition has led to major advancements for both of those half-ton trucks, which has led to more consumer interest.

I bought a 2022 RAM Longhorn Limited 4x4 Crew Cab a year ago and absolutely love it! I've owned both Ford and GM before and will say the RAM is the nicest. The interior materials across the RAM line are the nicest and the Longhorn trim only elevates this to the highest level. Great job RAM!
The only gripes I have (which are small) is it only has one touch window switches for the front windows? and also doesn't have unlock feature for all doors - I have to touch the front door first to then open the rear. There is also no "Auto-Hold" feature? These aren't huge issues but as I was used to those with my 2017 VW Touareg Wolfsburg Edition, I do miss them, and as the RAM Longhorn Limited is a top tier truck I expected these options to be included. Otherwise it's a great truck!
